Spiti
Spiti means "The middle land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India. It's nickname is Little Tibet.
Gue Monestary
Situated at a height of 10,000.ft. It's famous for the only naturally mummified 593 yrs old body of Lama Sangha Tenzin.
The Hikkim Post Office
It had started its operations on Nov 5,1983, and Rinchen Chhering has been its postmaster since then.
ITINERARY
A Day By Day Plan
Delhi to Thanedar – 450 kms/10 hrs
Assemble/Start from Chandigarh drive via Solan, Shimla, Kufri, and Narkanda to Thanedar. Reach the Banjara Orchard Retreat in Thanedar in the evening.
Overnight stay: Banjara Orchard Retreat
We ride on the old Hindustan Tibet Road to enter the Baspa Valley of Kinnaur. ride past Sangla Town (towards Chitkul) and reach a retreat set in the base of the valley: by the river, in a sprawling apple orchard opposite the quaint village of Batseri.
A perfect place to break our journey and enjoy a night of comfort along the Baspa River.
Overnight stay: Banjara Valley Retreat
Sangla – Chitkul – Sangla
Ride to Chitkul, spend the afternoon there, come back Sangla and rest
Sangla – Kalpa
Ride to Kalpa to enjoy the ride via Reckong Peo and witness the beautiful Kinner Kailash Ranges. Overnight stay: White Nest
Kalpa – Tabo
Early start, drive into Upper Kinnaur making a stop at Nako to see the lake. Carry on, enter Spiti and ride deep.
Visit Gue/Dhankar Monastary and ride through to Mud/Pin Valley. Have lunch. Visit the Tabo and halt at Tabo/Kaza
Overnight stay: TBD
Tabo – Chicham
Wake up, have breakfast and visit the Tabo Monastery, then ride to Kaza and head to Langza. Halt in Kaza for lunch
Chicham – Sightseeing
Visit Hikkim, Komic and surrounding areas and then go over Asia’s#39 highest suspension bridge that hangs over a 1000 ft. deep gorge to reach the village of Chicham. Relax & acclimatize over the rest of the day.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing spot wildlife in the Kibber WLS. We will also be using these days to include, cultural insights, star gazing, and other such activities.

Chicham – Chandratal – Kaza
Ride to Losar and visit Chandratal Lake and return to Kaza
Kaza – Rampur Bushahr
Bid your adieus at Kaza and begin the long ride back to warmer climes and a bit of urbanization in Rampur Bushehr, on the base of the Sutlej Valley. Stay in a heritage property.
Overnight stay: Nau Nabh Heritage
Ranpur Bushahr – The Home Run
To Delhi: 525 km / 12 hrs
After breakfast, start the ride back, and reach Delhi NCR by late evening.
